Background and Research Interests
Dr. Timothy Goldsmith has been a faculty member in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota since 2008. In addition to his veterinary degree, Dr. Goldsmith has a masters of public health degree and is certified by the American College of Veterinary Preventative Medicine.
Before joining the University of Minnesota, Dr. Goldsmith was in private as a food animal veterinarian. His current research and academic interest and focus is in emergency response planning to support continuity of business from planning to practice, proactive risk assessments, the judicious use of antibiotics in food animal production systems, and teaching of beef production systems medicine to veterinary students.
